ice cream and cake.
hello, my old heart
how have you been?
are you still there inside my chest?
I’ve been so worried
you’ve been so still
barely beating at all
whatttt
As far as I can tell Google+ may not have made the big debut we all thought it might, but it’s definitely not falling away unnoticed. Today when I logged on to blogspot it asked me if I wanted to sync my blog to the +; and I still see invites coming in. The cool part is about the invitations to circles is that it’s not long lost friends that want to connect. It’s people who are interested in what you have to say and want to be a part of any conversation you start.
More and more of my friends are putting facebook on the table annoyed with insignificant status updates - we REALLY don’t care if you like the guy who is changing your oil at Jiffy Lube. I don’t know, but I’m getting less interested about the going’s on of facebook and hearing that they’re are looking at gearing up their ads to increase revenue, makes just that less interested in getting online. There’s too much else to do and the amount of interesting videos and posted articles are so few and far between I can’t justify LOOKING for them. ENTER GOOGLE+. You pick what you want and who you want it from. You know your one friend usually finds interested business, you add them to your business circle. And if you’re already checking your gmail, you can check his posts quickly with the new addition of “circles” to the sidebar. Best part? The graphic is TINY. It doesn’t beg to be clicked. It’s just there, if you want it.
To me, that’s G+. It’s a badass selective sharing service that doesn’t flood itself with aps, games, and ads because it doesn’t have to. And for this, I think, it’s going to be a HIT for those of us who remember what facebook used to be and just want the simplicity of sharing with each other what we find interesting as we grow to be true business individuals.
GO G+.
